SHOP PERSONALITY, NOT JUST PRODUCTS
Client: MARKET.live / MARKETplace
Projects: Graphic Design, Paid Media and Social Media Management, Web Design
THE CHALLENGE
When I stepped in as Senior Graphic Designer at MARKET.live, later becoming Design Manager, our brand presentation was out of step with our platform goals. Email, SMS, and paid media campaigns were underperforming, with low conversion rates and inconsistent experiences across devices. Social engagement had stalled, and our content strategy ignored the dynamic, video-first nature of our livestream shopping platform. Even our Meta storefronts struggled to drive sales, partly because fragmented product organization made it hard to shop by brand or theme.
THE PROCESS
Partnering with the Creative Director, I developed new brand guidelines rooted in clarity, motion, and commerce. I transitioned our static content to interactive, HTML-safe designs that rendered consistently on any device. To align form with function, I collaborated with our content, dev, and product teams on a new social and storefront strategy, prioritizing video assets and shoppable design patterns that mirrored our livestream-first identity.
THE RESULT
Replacing static images with short-form video and dynamic product storytelling significantly increased social engagement. On the paid side, refreshed visual assets and HTML-optimized designs drove higher click-through rates and a smoother customer journey. Reorganizing our Meta storefront by brand rather than product type improved discoverability and reinforced brand narratives. Together, these changes strengthened aesthetic consistency while lifting sales, follower growth, and conversion rates.
LESSONS LEARNED
The rebrand taught me to design with storytelling and functionality in equal measure. Good design is not just about how things look; it's about how things work across channels and guide users through a cohesive brand experience. For a video-first platform like MARKET.live, visual strategy has to align with core product identity. The project deepened my commitment to proactive design leadership, data-informed iteration, and thoughtful visual systems that deliver real business results.
